Ocean Blue & Green Beach Wedding

Kelsey & Shaan threw not one but two weddings! One in India and one in Florida. Kelsey said “I love Shaan so much, I’m marrying him twice!” Their Florida beach wedding was right on the warm waters of the Gulf of Mexico.

As any one of Kelsey’s seven bridesmaids could tell you, Kelsey’s personality is infectious. She is an outgoing sunburst. It’s no wonder why she choose a sunny seaside wedding.

The Morning

The entire day had energy pulsing through it. The temperature was hot, decor was being set, and champagne was flowing. During wedding party photos a groomsman quietly told me he couldn’t find the rings. I took off straight towards the room where the groomsmen got ready, went through bag after bag. Right when I was about to leave the room to look elsewhere, I noticed a sock caught under a chair leg, peeking out of a bag. I picked up the bag and there were the rings tucked in the sock. Shaan & Kelsey never found out, until maybe right now.

The Ceremony

Guests grabbed a drink before walking through the sand to their seats. Paper fans were left on every seat for guests to stay cool during Kelsey & Shaan’s beach ceremony. The blues and greens of the ocean matched the bridesmaid’s dresses. The groomsmen ditched their ties for a relaxed look. Everyone left their shoes in the room to let their feet sink in the sand for the ceremony. Just before it was Kelsey’s turn to walk down the aisle, two surprise guests, Kelsey & Shaan’s dogs! They laid right by Shaan’s feet and watched their people get married.

The Reception

Kelsey slipped away for just a few short minutes and came back to hit the dance floor in a gorgeous lace jumpsuit so she could dance, spin, and dip and look good doing it. We can’t talk about Kelsey & Shaan’s wedding without talking about the band. If you’re having the conversation with your fiancé about whether to get a DJ on a band, let me end that now. GET THE BAND. This band. C’Nergy was unbelievable. They had everybody on the dance floor the entire night. Even I couldn’t resist.

Kelsey & Shaan knew that there is no better place in Florida to get married than the beach. The calm waves of the Gulf of Mexico create background music all night long.
